Genuine sea glass originates from pieces of broken bottles, tableware, or other glass items taken by the sea. The glass is then gentled by the ocean for 20-40 years, or as much as 100 years to develop it’s characteristic shape and texture- until all of the edges are rounded off, and the shininess of the glass has been worn to a frosty appearance.
